Compocel® SA is a sound-absorbing sandwich panel developed for reverberation control and the improvement of indoor acoustic quality. It consists of an aluminium honeycomb core and aluminium skins, one of which is available in either microperforated or expanded metal configuration, depending on the desired acoustic performance and architectural effect.
The panel is engineered according to the Helmholtz resonator principle and the study of standing wave behaviour, with the aim of optimizing sound absorption at targeted frequencies. Its honeycomb structure dissipates acoustic energy within the internal cavities, enhancing sound absorption and contributing to effective control of the reverberant sound field.
Unlike traditional fibrous acoustic panels, Compocel® SA is fibre-free, does not release particles, and is suitable for environments requiring high hygiene standards and ease of cleaning, such as healthcare and food-processing facilities.
The outer metal sheet can be microperforated for calibrated acoustic performance or expanded metal for a stronger architectural impact, combining technical function with contemporary design expression.
The panel can achieve sound absorption values up to αw 0,98. Its mass and sandwich configuration also contribute to improved sound insulation performance, integrating sound absorption and sound attenuation within a single construction element.
The panel can be manufactured in a non-combustible version and is certifiable for reaction to fire, allowing its use in regulated and high-occupancy environments.

Compocel® SA is manufactured to measure, with dimensions tailored to project requirements.
Standard finishes include:
Additional colours and surface treatments are available upon request.
Panels can be installed directly against the ceiling or suspended using adjustable cables. A suspended installation, creating an air cavity behind the panel, enhances sound absorption efficiency and improves reverberation control.
A non-combustible configuration is available, developed to further enhance reaction-to-fire performance and to provide a fully metallic solution.
